Secure Document Handling and Destruction for Military Discount Verification
In line with our commitment to safeguarding your personal information, any documents you provide to us for the purpose of verifying eligibility for our military discount program are handled with the utmost care and confidentiality. After verification is completed, we ensure that all such documents are securely destroyed and are not stored in our system or kept in any physical form. This practice is in place, aiming to protect your sensitive information and to prevent any unauthorized access or potential misuse.
Guarantees of Discounts Seen on Third Party Discount Websites
We do not guarantee that discount coupons and codes displayed on third party websites will be valid. Various sites display RLT Home discount codes - some of which may be old codes that have expired, some may be seasonal and some may still be active. RLT Home takes no responsibility for codes displayed on other websites.
PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We also assign your device a first-party identifier (stored in a cookie named “_rlt_vid”) so we can recognise it across visits, and we derive an approximate location (such as city and region) from your IP address. We maintain our own first-party analytics from this information so we can understand your journey through the Site and measure our advertising. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”
We collect Device Information using the following technologies:
- “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.
- “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
- “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site, including advertising pixels such as the Meta (Facebook) Pixel. We also use server-side tracking, described under “Sharing Your Personal Information.”
- “First-party analytics identifier.” We set a cookie named “_rlt_vid” (in some cases from our own server, via our subdomain track.rlthome.com) that gives your device a unique identifier, so we can attribute your visits and purchases to the marketing that brought you to us. It can persist for up to two years; you can clear it at any time through your browser, or decline non-essential cookies via our cookie banner where that option is offered.
Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information.”
When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.
LIVE CHAT INFORMATION
If you use the live chat on the Site, we collect the information you provide in the chat, which may include your name and email address, the content of your messages, and any images, audio, or files you choose to send. We use this to respond to you and provide support, and we may create or update a customer record from it. If you ask us to keep you updated, we may also use your email address for marketing as described below. This information forms part of your “Personal Information.”
HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfil any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:
Communicate with you;
Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns). We also use Device Information and the identifiers described above to measure and attribute our advertising (matching visits and purchases to the campaigns, ads, or referrals that drove them), and to power our live chat support.
SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. For example, we use Shopify to power our online store--you can read more about how Shopify uses your Personal Information here: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy. We also use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site--you can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. You can also opt-out of Google Analytics here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We use Klaviyo to manage our email list and send marketing and service messages--you can read more here: https://www.klaviyo.com/legal/privacy. We also operate our own first-party analytics and live chat, which are hosted on cloud infrastructure provided by Google Cloud.
Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
ADVERTISING AND CONVERSION MEASUREMENT (INCLUDING SERVER-SIDE SHARING)
To measure and improve our advertising, we share certain information about your activity on the Site, such as pages viewed and purchases made, with advertising platforms including Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google, and Microsoft (Bing). This happens both through advertising pixels in your browser and directly from our servers (often called a “Conversions API”). Where we share data from our servers, any email address is first converted into a hashed, pseudonymised form before it is sent, together with advertising identifiers (such as click IDs and the Meta “_fbp” cookie value), so the platform can match the activity to an ad you saw. We do not share your payment-card details with these advertising platforms. You can limit this as described under “Behavioural Advertising” and “Your Rights” below.
BEHAVIOURAL ADVERTISING
As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. For more information about how targeted advertising works, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative’s (“NAI”) educational page at http://www.networkadvertising.org/understanding-online-advertising/how-does-it-work.
You can opt out of targeted advertising by:
FACEBOOK - https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads
GOOGLE - https://www.google.com/settings/ads/anonymous
BING - https://advertise.bingads.microsoft.com/en-us/resources/policies/personalized-ads
Additionally, you can opt out of some of these services by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt-out portal at: http://optout.aboutads.info/. Where required in your region, we also present a cookie banner that lets you accept or decline non-essential analytics and advertising cookies; declining will stop the tracking and server-side sharing described above. Some of this activity may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under certain US state privacy laws — see “Your Rights” for how to opt out.
DO NOT TRACK
Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.
YOUR RIGHTS
If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.
Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.
US STATE PRIVACY RIGHTS (INCLUDING CALIFORNIA)
If you are a resident of California or another US state with a privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share; to request a copy of it; to ask us to correct or delete it; and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information and of targeted advertising. We do not sell your personal information for money, but our use of advertising pixels and the server-side sharing described above may be considered “sharing” or a “sale” under these laws. To opt out, you can use the cookie banner on the Site, use the browser and platform opt-outs listed under “Behavioural Advertising,” or contact us at contact@redlighttherapyhome.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.” We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
DATA RETENTION
When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information. We retain the Device Information and analytics described above for as long as needed for the purposes set out in this policy, after which we delete or aggregate it.
MINORS
The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.
CHANGES
We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
