Do you need a device that goes inside your mouth? Or open your mouth with the red light therapy on?
Or can it be outside of the mouth and used along the jaw line?

@Sarah Berry – Good question. You do not need a special intra oral device for at home gum work. Our Total Spectrum panels are designed to work externally, so the easiest setup is to hold the panel about 6 to 9 inches from the side of the face, light directed along the jaw line and cheek on each side, using Pain & Inflammation mode for 5 to 7 minutes per side, 5 days a week.

For extra penetration to specific gum areas, you can also open your mouth slightly during the session so the inner cheek and gum tissue receive some indirect light. The protective eyewear provided should be used for close range face sessions.

A Total Spectrum Mini is plenty for this kind of focused work.

This is general wellness guidance only and not medical advice. Please continue working with your dentist or periodontist on the underlying gum condition.
